Lazy 5 Ranch

Lazy 5 Ranch was amazing! There were animals that we never thought we would see! We learned a lot and had A LOT OF FUN feeding them. The scariest part were the hungry ostriches. It was funny too, but they are very aggressive eaters.

This trip helped us learn a lot about habitats and how animals live. We are excited and ready to begin our science project!

We have a class pet!

Since we are studying animals and their habitats and are going to Lazy 5 Ranch next week, Ms. McLaughlin decided to buy a fish. It is a crown tail male betta fish. We added rocks, water, some bowl toys and water cleanser. We had a blast meeting out new fish! We are also going to take turns taking care of our fish and being responsible owners. The only thing is...we don't have a name for him.

Last week we read a story titled, Goodbye 382 Shin Dang Dong. It was about a family that moved to America from Korea. In the story, the Korean Family eats Chummy which is a Korean fruit and can be compared to Honey Dew. Ms. McLaughlin also bought Korean Popcorn to taste so we can see what the food is like in Korea. Some of us liked the chummy and popcorn and some of us didn't. Overall, it was a fun experience!
Well also planted seeds today and gave them water and plant food. We should expect carrot bushes in a few days.
